Save Port Isaac Bay

IS THIS THE RIGHT PLACE FOR A COMMERCIAL SEAWEED FARM?

A licence has been granted for a commercial seaweed farm. It will be 100 hectares, sited less than 1.5 miles from the beach with thousands of buoys marking a brown grid and with lit navigational buoys on the outside.

WERE YOU ASKED ABOUT IT?

We need a fair, open, public consultation

The licence was granted for a commercial seaweed farm to operate in Port Isaac Bay in 2023.

This news has taken our community by surprise, no-one knew about it. We believe people should be asked for their views on such a large commercial venture and we are trying to get the licence revoked to allow this to happen.

To challenge this licence is going to cost money. Please help us by donating through our fundraising page here: JustGiving.

Heritage Coastline

Less than one and a half miles from the shore.

An area designated as a National Landscape

This is what is at stake. Unspoilt seascape within a heritage coastline.
